Additional Information
You may be wondering, “What is a top rope?” or “What is bouldering?” Top roping takes place on a rock face about 30-100 feet in height. The guide and belayer stay on the ground while the climber climbs to the top and is then lowered back to the ground. Bouldering is a style of climbing taking place between 10-20 feet in height. While a rope and harness are not used, a crash pad and spotter(s) provide a level of safety for the climber much like in gymnastics.
All top roping trips will be led by an American Mountain Guide Association certified Single Pitch Instructor who has logged many personal and professional climbing days and gained certification through a rigorous assessment process.
The following gear will be included: Helmet, harness, and shoes. Personal Gear: Any personal gear must be inspected by the Lead Guide by the morning of the trip. Minimum age is 7. Participants are responsible for transportation to and from climbing locations, food, and water.
